The local Rotary Clubs in the Greater Atlantic County Area are holding a membership business mixer on Tuesday September 17th at 6:30pm at Joseph's Restaurant Renault Winery in Egg Harbor City. We highly encourage all Rotarians to sign up for this event as well as encourage you to invite people that interact with in the community. Local business owners and community leaders are great people to invite. Anyone that wants to network to further their organizational and personal contacts is a good person to invite! The goal of this event is to expose a large amount of people to concept of Rotary and for our current members to network with Rotarians from other clubs! If you are currently an inactive/former member this maybe a great time for you to get re-involved and find a club that fits your schedule and personality! We are asking everyone to signup by September 1st so we can give the restaurant an accurate head count.
How to signup: You can signup on event brite- https://www.eventbrite.com/e/68043216091/ Or directly on the facebook event- https://www.facebook.com/events/472163863618901/ John Brilla Absecon Galloway Rotary President |

This time of year, food banks across the country are gearing up to feed thousands upon thousands of hungry Americans on Thanksgiving Day and they desperately need our help. Many people don’t have the time during the busy holiday season to actually volunteer at a food pantry. We may not all be able to cook or serve hot meals at a shelter, and thank you dearly if you are, but we can all help out simply by grocery shopping. Imagine how many families could be blessed with a delicious Thanksgiving dinner if everyone chipped in and bought a few items each time they went food shopping. Most food banks organize non-perishable food drives during the holidays. They then put together bags or boxes containing all the traditional Thanksgiving trimmings, which are then delivered to or picked up by families in need to take home and prepare.
All canned and packaged goods received from our members, Rotaract and Interact Clubs will be packaged for our families to pick up from the church. Location: St. Paul's Lutheran Church 301 N 3rd St, Millville, NJ 08332 Time to help: 10:00AM Call Melanie for instructions or questions (609)774-3671 |
